Julie has been teaching yoga in the Chicagoland area since 2002. Since joining the group fitness staff at EAC in 2006, Julie has taught yoga classes for all levels and age groups, ranging from Pre-Natal and Baby & Me Yoga to Golden Yoga. In each pose, she emphasizes focusing on the breath, setting an intention on balance, flexibility or strength, and finding the balance between effort and effortlessness. A desire to inspire and guide others to experience the energy, confidence and peace for themselves that she has found through her own practice motivates Julie to teach yoga. Julie’s style of teaching ranges from Hatha to Vinyasa. At EAC, Julie currently teaches Multi-Level Yoga.
Julie has earned a 200+ hours Yoga Alliance Certification, and has completed the Mini Yogis 10-hour foundation certification and a certified 12-hour Pre-Natal Yoga training program. Julie is certified in TRX Suspension Training for Group Exercise. She also holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from DePaul University.
