Katie discovered her love of swimming at the age of eight when she joined her local club in Chicago’s south suburbs. She swam for her high school varsity swim team for four years and graduated as female athlete of the year. She went on to become a four time All American at Illinois Wesleyan University, culminating with a third place finish at NCAAs in the 200 fly, multiple school and conference records, and winning conference swimmer of the year. After graduating with degrees in environmental science and public health she began giving lessons and coaching, with an emphasis on both fun and hard work. She loves watching swimmers of all ages and abilities have breakthroughs with new skills. Katie also enjoys water polo, open water swimming, houseplants, and baking.

Katie is a Master Swim Coach and also teaches private lessons at WAC, LSAC, and LPAC.
