Ed Morford

Ed Morford is semi-retired after a 35 plus year career in higher education at the University of Texas Austin, SUNY system, and The University of Illinois.  He lives in Evanston with his wife and 2 middle school children.  HIs work has always been centered around Aquatics and Risk Management. Ed has taught swimming to all ages, infant/toddler to older adults at all levels from non-swimmer to elite competitive athletes. He has been a head swimming coach for summer league, age group, high school and college teams.  His biggest accomplishments and greatest joys have been to be able to contribute to and share in the success and pride of individuals who have achieved a goal as small as learning to float or swim butterfly or as big as win a national championship. He loves that "lightbulb moment", which is why he is so excited to work with swimmers at the Evanston Athletic Club.
