Seth Hoff: Chicago Athletic Clubs Instructor

Seth_Hoff.jpgSeth Hoff, a former professional dancer, is a certified instructor in Pilates and yoga who also teaches various dance formats and swimming.  He started swimming competitively at age 9 in Madison, WI,  when he was the slowest swimmer in the slowest lane at the local YMCA, and he loved every second of it!  He swam in a summer league program, AAU, USS, high school and college, all in Madison.  He moved to Chicago on a dance scholarship at Gus Giordano Dance School to pursue a career in theatre and soon began working as a dancer and performer.  He also began training and competing with the United States Masters Swimming team,  the Chicago Smelts. In his swimming instruction, he enjoys the challenges of teaching, and training for,  all four competitive strokes, and in his own swimming he has broadened his experiences by attempting longer distances in USMS Postal Swims, and by participating in the Swim Across America fundraiser in Lake Michigan.  He has coached and taught swimming for many years, for the Chicago Smelts,  New Trier Swim Club, and at the Chicago Athletic Clubs. Technique and body alignment have always interested him in helping his fellow swimmers, fellow athletes, and fellow fitness enthusiasts get more fit, healthy, and focused through swimming, movement, breath, and body awareness.
