Sharon's teaching style is influenced by her thoughtful trainers from Eight Limbs Yoga Center and The Temple of Kriya Yoga, who emphasized the importance of being present, curious, and building the practice on solid anatomical and psychological principles. She integrates her studies of anatomy/physiology, neuropsychology, and anthropology into her teachings, and enjoys creating physically satisfying sequences woven with intention. Her greatest aim is to help her students feel stronger, more open, and ready for anything long after the physical practice concludes. Sharon is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance. She began her yoga practice as a teen in the Pacific Northwest, and graduated from two Yoga Alliance teacher-training programs in Chicago by 2006. Sharon co-created a teacher-training program in Chicago and has been training yoga teachers since 2011.
