Finding the best Keto restaurants in Chicago can be difficult! Chicago has plenty to offer, whether you are in the mood for something light and refreshing or heavy and decadent. Due to the sheer volume of culinary options, finding keto restaurants in Chicago can be time-consuming and intimidating.
But the last thing you want is to end up somewhere where the only thing you can eat is a side salad. Fear not; we’ve got you covered!
We’ve tasted food around the city and rounded up Chicago's top keto-friendly restaurants, so you know exactly where to go the next time you’re going out to eat. If you're dining with friends that are not on the Keto diet, many of these restaurants have non-Keto options too!
Here's the list!
Location: 2863 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60657
Hours of Operation: Monday — Saturday 11:30 am — 9:30 pm, Sunday 11:30 am — 9:00 pm
Bluebird offers incredible meals made from the best local ingredients. Everything they offer is made in-house daily. They strive to use as many recyclable and biodegradable products as possible to offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly way to eat fresh, delicious food.
Keto-friendly dishes to try include:
Location: 3608 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60618
Hours of Operation: Sunday 4:00 pm — 9:00 pm, Monday Closed, Tuesday — Saturday 5:00 pm — 10:00 pm
When you think of Keto, Italian food generally doesn’t come to mind first, but now it can! Buona Terra Ristorante highlights classic Italian cuisine with exposed brick, white tablecloths, and absolutely delicious food. From antipasti to secondi, Buona Terra has everything you could ask for if you’re looking for an Italian meal.
Try these keto-friendly dishes:
Mediterranean Salad — vine-ripened tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olives, and feta cheese. Topped with a red wine vinaigrette. If you’re not a friend of Mediterranean style, the Caesar salad with their homemade dressing is fabulous as well!
Paillard di Pollo alla Grigila — grilled pounded chicken breast topped with fresh herb sauce. Served over a bed of arugula and topped with fresh mozzarella.
Melanzana alla Emilia Romagna — baked and almond breaded eggplant topped with caramélisée onions and goat cheese, served with tomato basil sauce. This eggplant was phenomenal, but we recommend asking for the sauce on the side, that way you can dip the eggplant in it as you wish to control your intake of the sauce.
Location: 43 E Ohio St, Chicago, IL 60611
Hours of Operation: Sunday — Thursday 7:00 am — 10:00 pm (restaurant hours differ, check the site!), Friday — Saturday 7:00 am — 11:00 pm
While this is not just a local restaurant, we have to mention Eataly Chicago. In addition to the cooking classes, Eatly offers delicious, authentic Italian food and drink, so this restaurant is a must if you love Italian cuisine!
This location is unique because it is a restaurant and a market in one. So, not only can you get delicious food during a night out with friends, but you can also pick up delicious Italian classics, like cured meats and cheeses, for home as well.
There are actually two restaurants to try at Eatly Chicago, La Pizza & La Pasta and Vino &. They pretty much have the same menu, as they’re served by the same kitchen, but there are some slight differences in the menu. Here’s what to get:
Carpaccio di Manzo — thinly sliced raw beef, horseradish crema, and crispy capers.
Polpette al Sugo — beef and pork meatballs, Mutti tomatoes, and Parmigiano Reggiano.
Insalata di Rucola — arugula, Grana Padano, lemon vinaigrette, and Olitalia extra virgin olive oil.
Branzino al Forno — whole roasted Mediterranean sea bass, grilled escarole, fennel, charred lemon, and sea salt
Location: 2010 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60614

Blue Door Farm Stand is a firm believer in seasonal eating. Their menu features ingredients that are in season, and they cultivate and maintain personal relationships with purveyors to ensure that you get the absolute best of what each season offers.
So, if you are looking for a delicious meal centered around seasonal specialties, stop by Blue Door Farm Stand the next time you’re looking for a place to eat.
Keto-friendly dishes to try include:
Sesame Chicken Salad — watermelon radish, cucumber, carrots, pickled peppers, red cabbage, bean sprouts, and chicken over mixed greens. Served with sesame cilantro dressing. To make it more keto-friendly, we skipped the radishes.
Pan Seared Salmon — 8 oz salmon filet with spinach, zucchini, garlic, and shallots.
Farmstand Cobb Salad — chicken, bacon, egg, pickled peppers, and bleu cheese over a mix of arugula and romaine. Served with Blue Door vinaigrette dressing. This is your classic, yet tasty go-to salad that fills you up.
AVA Omelet — spinach, kale pesto, avocado, bacon, green tomato relish, and a mix of havarti, swiss, and mozzarella cheese. This was so good! You must try it, especially with the Irish coffee they serve (minus the Bailey’s) if you want a little extra.
Location: 825 N Sedgwick St, Chicago, IL 60610 & 4131 N Rockwell St, Chicago, IL 60618
Hours of Operation: Sunday 11:00am — 10:00pm, Monday — Saturday 10:30am — 10:30pm
If you're craving pizza, Keto Bros Pizza is the perfect place. Keto Bro’s one-of-a-kind recipe for a completely gluten-free pizza crust is just 4 net carbs per slice (for the crust). To make it better? These crusts are made from scratch daily to ensure your pizza is fresh and delicious!
Try these keto-friendly pizzas for take-out or delivery:
Veggie Pizza — signature almond flour and cauliflower crust with mozzarella cheese, house-made tomato sauce, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, olives, and arugula. We really enjoyed this one as the arugula gives it a nice nutty flavor that traditional veggie pizzas don’t normally have!

Pesto Pizza — signature almond flour and cauliflower crust with mozzarella cheese, house-made pesto sauce, roasted chicken, artichokes, tomato, and fresh basil.
