Genevieve began competing in her local summer league at a young age and continued through college at the University of New Mexico, where she focused on butterfly and distance freestyle events. After college, Genevieve moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University College of Law and started her career as a litigation attorney. However, the thrill in the courtroom was not enough and the love of the water and competition drew her back to the pool in her spare time. Genevieve started swimming competitively again when she joined CAC Masters in 2010 and has since competed in local and national level Masters' meets, racking up a number of USMS Top 10 times.
Swimming with CAC Masters has been a very rewarding experience. Wanting to share her experience and love of the sport, Genevieve started coaching CAC Masters in 2016.
