KIM ANEHALLIntroduction

I believe that a higher quality of life begins with the awareness of self, as one strives to find harmony within self in a biological, psychological, and social sense regardless of age, gender, or fitness level. The biological, psychological, and social components are the three components in the biopsychosocial concept, which promotes an overall healthy lifestyle through harmony within each physical, cognitive, emotional, and social being. Research has shown that low psychological and social health affects biological health. Research also suggests that physical activity increases the overall biopsychosocial health and success. Thus, it is essential to live a well-balanced and functional physical active lifestyle that takes in consideration the individual, the family, the friends, and enjoyment in life in order to maintain and increase the overall quality of life.
