Selima discovered yoga in 1997 as the perfect antidote to the physical demands of long distance cycling and the psychological demands of graduate school. In 2015, Selima left the non-profit management career tract and completed her 200-Hour yoga teacher training and also holds certifications in Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Yoga Nidra, Trauma Informed Yoga and has completed coursework in other yoga lineages. Her classes are upbeat, breath- and alignment-focused, building on a foundation of accessible sequences and modifications to create an atmosphere of accessibility, inclusivity, well-being and self-awareness. Selima is a certified Spin Instructor, a former competitive swimmer, triathlon dabbler, a decaded group fitness junkie, and a Chicago Marathon finisher: she understands firsthand the value of cross-training that yoga
