My introduction to the world of fitness began as most do: wanting to improve myself, but not necessarily knowing how. This pursuit of knowledge ultimately changed my fitness "hobby" into one of competition and mastery with the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. Having competed in this area for several years, I reigned back my aspirations of doing, in substitution of teaching. I began coaching youth athletes in, but not limited to, the sport of Olympic weightlifting and it's potential to increase athletic performance. Through this journey, I have adopted a more wholistic approach to fitness. While still enamored with my past experience, I've adopted the view that life is an athletic experience, and we should train accordingly.
