‘Yoga is the journey of the Self, through the Self, to the Self.’ – The Bhagavad Gita

Rachel (500+ RYT) had first stepped foot on a yoga mat when she was in high school in search of spirituality. As a dancer, the movement of yoga made sense in her body — even if it meant re-training her muscles (and mind) to turn inward — and it gave her a sense of peace. In 2016, Rachel completed her Hatha-Vinyasa 200-hour RYT Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India, and has been teaching yoga ever since. She went on to complete her 300-hour RYT Yoga Teacher Training in 2021, a rigorous program that honored the origins of yoga while also focusing on the current community of practitioners, and how to apply an inclusive, trauma-informed approach to foster a safe, healing yoga space for everyBODY. Rachel is also certified in Barre and Prenatal / Postpartum Yoga, and enjoys preparing movement that feels accessible yet challenging for all practitioners.  Rachel aspires to teach dynamic yoga classes that include Pranayama, Mantra, Asana and Meditation. With a focus on connecting breath with movement, these classes draw from a range of yogic traditions including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Karma, Sivananda and Yin. Come to class to set an intention that can serve during and after your time on the mat, or come to move, or spend the entire time resting in SAVASANA; whatever brings you to your practice, prepare to dive deeper and reconnect with your centre.
