Jana Dawson began practicing yoga twenty-some years ago to help heal her aching lower back. Over the years she’s found that the more yoga she does, the better she feels, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Regularly practicing yoga has helped her feel more at ease in her body and more deeply curious and appreciative of life itself.
Jana welcomes students of all levels and abilities to her joyful, energetic, introspective, alignment based classes. She completed her 200 hour training in 2011 through Shift Yoga. Her practice and teaching are rooted in Hatha, Iyengar and Anusara traditions. Steve Pizzanello, Carole Kaplan, Desiree Rumbaugh and Thomas Zwergel have been her primary teachers so far.
