My name is Cassie Griffith. I graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign in 2014 with a bachelors in Psychology and moved to Chicago to attend Graduate School at the University of Illinois at Chicago for Social Work. I started teaching swim lessons over 9 years ago in my hometown of Peoria, Illinois and continued to teach when I went to college teaching for the University Campus Rec programs.
While at UIUC I cofounded a program called Swimable, that focuses on teaching children with special needs how to swim by providing therapeutic focused instructors with specialized training. I am known for working with special needs children and kid’s first time in the pools. I started swimming when I was six for fun and have always loved the water and enjoy helping others find a love for the water. I have taught everything from parent-toddler classes to adult lessons. I’m excited to be an instructor with Chicago Athletic Clubs and in the water again.
