For some, being physically active comes naturally, while others learn to love it. I am in the latter category. In school, my gym teacher would bribe me with Starbucks just to entice me to participate in the annual fitness assessment. I didn't love the idea of working out but over time it became the part of my day that I looked forward to most. My first professional foray into fitness was as a cardio kickboxing instructor and personal trainer almost 16 years ago, but eventually, I transitioned into being a full-time lawyer. While my corporate job left me feeling unfulfilled, my time in the gym was always my constant and my way to de-stress. Naturally, when I began to reassess my career goals, I focused on returning to personal training.
I love strength training. Lifting weights is one of the best ways to lose weight, build lean muscle, and boost metabolism. Most people beginning their fitness journey underestimate their strength, so its my goal to get a barbell in each of my clients hands to help them realize their true capabilities. We all know nothing feels better than hitting a deadlift PR. Together, we will go through the basics and then perfect these skills through a challenging workout utilizing barbells, dumbbells, kettle bells, and more. Whether your goal is to build strength, change your appearance, or just improve your overall health, we'll work together towards achieving your goals and definitely have fun doing it.
