September is National Yoga Month. At Chicago Athletic Clubs we are celebrating with 15 outstanding, outside-the-box opportunities to honor your inner yogi. From classic vinyasas to invigorating mash-ups, these special classes will challenge and delight. Yoga Month classes are all-access for CAC members, so take advantage and enjoy!
Yoga Refinement Workshop

Intro to Aerial Yoga

No experience necessary for Intro to Aerial Yoga. This is a great opportunity to learn about the fusion of several mind body disciplines including yoga, aerial arts, Pilates and dance, performed with silk hammocks. This free class will introduce you to new ways to strengthen and tone muscles.

Meet at LPAC Kids Club
This 75-minute class that starts off in the LPAC Kids Club lobby. We proceed outside to the park. Lunges, strength exercises and stretching as we push our strollers towards the park. A quick set up in the park with our yoga mats include a stretch to open our bodies and incorporate our babies in our practice. First with baby massage for bonding and then moving into a few Vinyasa's. A couple of nursery rhymes and back on our way back to LPAC. No previous training necessary.

Meet at Lakefront
Join EAC Trainer Scott Z. for a fun run (walk or stroll!) to the lakefront followed by a 45-minute sunset yoga class with Shaina Y. to help loosen up the hamstrings, quads, calves and more. Meet in the lobby at 6pm for the fun run or come just for the 6:30pm yoga experience. Registration required. Mats and yoga blocks will be provided. Aqua Yoga is a gentle and very low impact aquatic activity. Aqua Yoga takes the principles and movements of Yoga and adapts them to the water environment. With the release of gravity the body is able to find the optimum stretch. By using the rhythm of the breath an inner sense of relaxation can be achieved.
