Having worked as a Physical Therapist for the past 14 yrs, and being physically active all my life, I have come to see the true importance of fitness. I've seen first hand how exercise helps people recover from debilitation, illness, and injuries; but more than that, I have come to appreciate exercise as a preventative health measure. Not only will exercise help to prevent general illness, cardiac disease, and orthopedic problems, but it is also a means to overall mind and body wellness.
