When attention is focused on the breath, the energy you need to work through physical and other issues follows. Working with your breath in yoga poses/asana unties the physical and energetic knots in your body, helping you develop the strength, flexibility and awareness you need to achieve your goals. Every body is different, so every yoga practice should be catered to the individual with an emphasis on the function of the pose, rather then perfecting the form. In yoga, how you feel is more important than how you look!
