EXPERIENCE OUR WALL

     Discover the challenge, fun and excitement of rock climbing. LVAC boasts a climbing wall and bouldering cave made with the Freeform system from Entre Prise. Freeform is hand shaped to give you the finest real rock look and texture available on the market today. LVAC’s climbing wall and cave provide the very best terrain for beginners and experts alike. LVAC offers crack climbing, roofs, dihedrals, arêtes, slab and endurance routes.

     All climbers are welcome at the Lakeview Athletic Club climbing wall and bouldering cave. We are open to both club members and non-members. Non-members may purchase a day pass for full acees to the club and climbing facilities. Experienced climbers can get belay certified (certification tests offered during supervised climb times) and climb during all club hours. If you don't have a climbing partner you can come during our supervised time where a staff member is available to introduce you to our community, offer belays and conduct certification tests for experiences climbers. Those who have not been belay certified will need to come during our introductory climb. LVAC also offers a full range of climbing classes for ages 5 and up. Children ages 5-10 can climb during family climb, provided that a parent is present with the child.  Please see our classes page for more info! LVAC also offers wall rentals for your part or event. Team building events are also available.

SUPERVISED CLIMB
LVAC certified climbers or current class participants with day pass may climb during this time. Staff is on duty to provide assistance with belaying. (Certified climbers under 18 may climb until 6:00 pm)

INTRODUCTORY CLIMB*
All members and guests (who have a complimentary pass or who have purchased a day visit) can climb during this time for free. You will receive complimentary shoes and a harness, and you do not have to be a certified climber to climb during Introductory Climb. This is not a lesson, but simply an opportunity for you to try your skills at climbing. So come along, discover what climbing at LVAC is all about.

Mon: 11-2, 6-7, Tues: 6-7, Wed: 6-7, Thurs: 6-7, Fri: 6-7, Sat. 11:30-12:30, 
Sun: 2:00-3:30

LEAD CLIMB
During lead climb several ropes will be pulled and LVAC certified lead climbers may lead during this time.

OPEN CLIMB
No staff on duty. Certified climbers 18 years and over may use the wall during open climbing periods.

SAFETY REFRESHER
These drop-in times are for LVAC certified climbers who would like to have their safety skills checked or refreshed. This time may also be used by current class participants who have recently missed regularly scheduled classes. The instructor will assist with safety skills as time and the number of participants allows. Participants who are not club members must still pay the guest fee and gear rental fees if applicable to participate during this time

WALL RENTALS
The LVAC climbing wall and bouldering cave are available to rent for parties and team building events. You do not need to be a club member to rent the wall. Please contact Keith x432 for pricing and details.

CERTIFICATION TEST
Experienced climbers who wish to climb must pass a certification test. Successful completion of this test enables you to use the wall during supervised climbing periods. Any supervisor will administer this test during supervised climb times. Those involved in unsafe practice will have their certification suspended.
Certification fee $20
Classes and multiple private lessons include the LVAC certification fee at no extra charge.
