Evanston Athletic Club's group exercise department has a class for everyone. The variety of classes that we offer range from Spinning to Aquatics to Muscle Definition…and everything in between. Empower Yourself!
Self Defense Workshop
Saturday, March 10th
11:30a.m.-3:30p.m.

Taught by Peter Katris

This class has been created to help students obtain a good understanding of self-defense, along with the fundamentals of feeling confident in an emergency or conflict situation.
This will be a continuation of the last workshop.....reviewing and refreshing techniques, along with learning how to defend from the ground. Come learn how to:

  • Empower yourself
  • Believe in yourself
  • Defend yourself
  • Be mentally and physically prepared!
  • Learn in a safe Non-threatening environment!

Please dress in comfortable workout clothes.
Peter Katris has studied Ryu Shu Kan Karate for the past 19 years as well as Taiho Jutsu, and
Aikido.
$50 members/$75 non-members
Open to men and women with or without previous martial arts training.

Crack the Winter dull-drums! with Frank Sassetti.
Liven up tired routines and raise your fitness level by adding 6 sessions to your regular routine,
with these cutting-edge conditioning methods:
TRX, Sandbags, Ropes, Kettlebells, Plyometrics, Bodyweight
Put together in fun, dynamic combinations designed specifically to increase your power, strength, endurance and metabolism.
6 sessions: once a week for 6 weeks
Monday 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm or Wednesday 6:30 am - 7:15 am
March 12 - April 18

$150 members/$180 for non-members
(10 person limit, 4 person minimum)
Sign-up at front desk for either Monday or Wednesday
No experience needed, just come ready to sweat and have fun!

Guidelines
All instructors are certified by one or more of the leading nationally-recognized Group Exercise Instructor Certification organizations and participate in continuing education workshops and seminars on a regular basis.
Guidelines

Evanston Athletic Club offers a variety of exercise classes in which members and guests are invited to participate at any time at no additional charge.

To reduce the risk of injury and enjoy a complete and safe workout, please follow these guidelines:

  • Please inform instructor of any special considerations (pregnancy, diabetes, recent surgery, etc.). Evanston Athletic Club recommends a physical examination before undertaking any exercise program.
  • Please arrive on time for the warm up and stay through the entire class.

Reminders
Instructors will be substituted from time-to-time. Any substitutions, deletions or additions to the printed schedules will be posted at the front desk.
